One of the parish’s Easter gifts this year was Matthew Kelly’s book, Beautiful Hope.

It’s an easy and encouraging read - perfect for your summer “beach reading.”

Join us on Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings in July and August to talk about the virtue of hope.

Come anytime; no sign-up needed. If you need a copy of the book, contact Sara at sara.scheunemann@raphael.org or at 920-233-8044 ext. 228.

Spe Salvi Discussion

Wednesdays 9-10 am, July 15 & 30

Rooms 104-106

Our second “summer read” is also focused on the theme of hope.

Gather a couple times in July for conversation about Pope Benedict XVI’s papal encyclical,

Spe Salvi “In Hope We Are Saved.”

We don’t have free copies, but it is available for free online at the Vatican website.

Google “Spe Salvi,” and it should be the first item to pop up.

Living Hope Discipleship Group

We are asked as Christians to always “be ready to share our hope” (1 Peter 3:15). But what does that look like exactly? We’ll explore what it means to bring our hope in Jesus to our families and friends through the witness and example of the saints.

Topics:

  • What is the hope that we share?

  • How have we experienced this hope in our own lives?

  • Praying with Hope: St. Monica

  • Speaking with Hope: St. Ambrose

  • Acting with Hope: St. Mother Teresa

Dates & Times:

Tuesdays 6:30 pm -or- Wednesdays 9 am

September 9/10 and 23/24

October 7/8 and 21/22

November 4/5 and 18/19
