  • Fr. Tom Long


    Fr. Tom Long began serving as Pastor of St. Raphael in August 2017. Since his ordination as priest in 1991, he has served in parishes in Green Bay, Brillion/Reedsville and Newton, as well as serving in the Diocese of Green Bay as Vocation Director and Vicar for Clergy & Pastoral Leaders. Originally from Appleton, Fr. Tom loves being a priest and is excited about serving the people of St. Raphael Parish. His desire is that we may all grow in our relationship with Jesus and one another in the Church, and find ways to share our faith with others. If you need to schedule a personal appointment with Fr.   • Fr. Matthew Rappl

    Parochial Vicar (Associate Pastor)

    Fr. Matthew was recently ordained by Bishop Ricken at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere. He is a graduate of St. Mary Catholic High School in Neenah, where he was involved in sports and extracurricular activities. He attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, graduating with degrees in Catholic Studies and Philosophy. He finished his seminary studies in Milwaukee at St. Francis de Sales Seminary and Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology. He is looking forward to growing and deepening the grace of God in his heart through celebrating the Sacraments, and witnessing the power of God at work in the lives of parishioners. In his free time, Fr. Matthew enjoys reading, playing basketball and soccer, camping outdoors, fly fishing, and listening to music. Fr.   • Dcn. John Ingala

    Permanent Deacon

    Deacon John was ordained a permanent deacon by Bishop David L. Ricken for the Diocese of Green Bay in 2009. He is assigned to St. Raphael the Archangel Parish and serves the parish in a variety of ministries. Prior to ordination, Deacon John spent 17 years as owner/president of his own strategic planning, marketing and fundraising firm and 10 years prior as the marketing officer for Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. Dcn John works full time at the Jesuit Retreat House on Lake Winnebago as the Associate Director of Development & Fundraising. He and his wife Shelley live in Oshkosh.

  • Dcn. Greg Grey

    Permanent Deacon

    Deacon Greg was ordained a permanent deacon by Bishop David Zubik for the Diocese of Green Bay in May of 2006. Greg currently leads the Stewardship Commission and Baptism Prep program at St. Raphael’s, where he and his wife Kelly have been members since 1996. In addition to his work as a deacon, Greg holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Marquette University, works full-time as a Senior IT Manager at Oshkosh Corporation, and is an Adjunct Professor at Lakeland University. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors golfing, fishing and skiing, and most of all spending time with his family. Greg, Kelly, and their two sons, Charlie and Robert, live in Winneconne.

  • Dcn. Paul Vidmar

    Permanent Deacon

    Deacon Paul and his wife Kelly have been married since 1984, have three children, three grandchildren, and have been members at St. Raphael the Archangel since 1996. Paul and Kelly owned radio stations for 23 years. Kelly is currently a Chaplain with Ascension Hospice and Paul works for Dale Carnegie. In 2017 Paul was ordained by Bishop David L. Ricken for the Diocese of Green Bay and serves the parish by facilitating baptism prep classes and server training. Paul enjoys boating, traveling, and serving at The Place to be and Parkview Nursing Home. Paul and Kelly live in Oshkosh.

  • Karen Moehn

    Liturgy & Music Coordinator

    Karen has served the St. Raphael parish community for more than 20 years, sharing with us her love of music and communal worship. Since earning her degree in music from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Karen has gone on to work with individuals, both here in the parish and through her own local piano and voice studio. Karen’s responsibilities include overseeing all parish music ministries, directing the Sunday adult choir, acting as the lead musical consultant for our Sunday night worship band, and providing other opportunities for young musicians to serve within the parish. Karen’s greatest passion is to empower young people to become music ministry leaders within the church. If you or someone you know has a musical talent waiting to be shared with our congregation, Karen would love to talk to you!

  • Mark Lindekugel

    Business Manager

    Mark has been with St. Raphael's since 2007. He started his service as the parish accountant. In July 2013, he was promoted to his current position of Business Manager. Mark and his wife Kelly also own two businesses in Oshkosh. Mark has been working with accounting and small businesses since 1985. In is private life, Mark enjoys singing in the barbershop style and also sings with St. Raphael's mens' choir. If you have any business-related questions, Mark will be happy to assist you.

  • Betty Schwandt

    Pastoral Associate

    Betty Schwandt has served the faith community of St. Raphael as Pastoral Associate since June 2013. Primarily offering and meeting the needs of pastoral care for the ill and homebound, Betty works with families who are struggling through change, crisis, and loss. Developing ways for adults to grow in their faith, Betty offers Bible studies, RCIA, supports small Christian communities, speakers, and directs Living Christ parish retreats. Also a spiritual director, Betty helps people to recognize how God is working in and through them and to recognize God’s movements within them. Betty earned her MA in Christian Spirituality along with her Certification in Spiritual Direction from Creighton University and a B.S. in English Education and Communications. Betty’s experience includes campus ministry, directing religious education, and teaching young people. She looks forward to meeting you and hearing your journey of faith.

  • Deb Ransbottom

    Executive Secretary

    Deb has served St. Raphael Church leading the front office staff in her role as lead executive secretary for more than ten years. She is often the first contact for many of our guests, and makes sure that everyone feels welcome. She is the chief editor of our weekly bulletin and lead scheduler for the parish, taking responsibility for the coordination of multiple calendars, events and personnel. In her free time, Deb loves directing community theater groups (as well as taking acting roles herself) and spending time with her children, new grandchildren and dearest friends. Deb would be happy to answer your parish-related questions.

  • Ann Olig

    Religious Education Secretary

    Ann has been a member of St. Raphael parish for 25 years. Initially, Ann felt called in response to a homily about Matthew 5:14-16, which states, "You do not hide a light under a bushel basket," and began as one of the musicians for weekend masses in 1994. She's been accompanying the men's choir for 25 years. Ann then became a part-time Sacramental Assistant in 1997, and added the full-time position of Religious Education Secretary to her duties in 2003 . She and her husband Jon have seven children. Together, they enjoy spending time with family, visiting children and grandchildren (in five states!), golf, Jon's softball and camping.   • Jill Eaton

    Front Desk Secretary & Care Ministry Aide

    Jill joined our team as an administrative assistant in 2010. Her professional experience in sales, management and customer service have prepared her well to manage all ministry schedules for liturgical ministers and sacrament records for our parish. Beyond that, having gone through our RCIA program for those wanting to become Catholic, Jill’s newfound enthusiasm for our Church shines through when she greets guests when they call or enter our front doors. She highly values time spent with her husband Tim, three children, and mother who lives at home with the family; as well as gardening, cooking, canning and playing golf. You are welcome to contact Jill with questions you may have about ministry schedules and/or any general parish activities.

  • Sara Erickson

    Social Communication & IT COORDINATOR

    Sara graduated in December 2011 from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and communication studies, and she is currently in the process of getting her graduate degree from UW-Oshkosh in English literature. Sara has had a variety of experiences in the communications field, from being a reporter and editor-in-chief of a student-run newspaper to working in broadcasting and entertainment for a MLB team. Throughout her experiences, Sara has met many wonderful people who have given her valuable insights. These interactions, learning and sharing ideas and stories, are what fuel her passion for communication. If you can't find Sara among the halls of St. Raphael, you will most likely find her reading, being a space pirate with her nephew, singing showtunes whilst baking cupcakes for anyone who wants them, cheering on the Brewers, riding horses, or watching sci-fi tv shows and classic American films. If you are interested in our multimedia ministries or would like to get plugged into our various creative communication efforts, Sara is the person to talk to.

  • Anne Glowcheski

    Accounts Receivable Specialist

    In addition to holding her Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Anne also brings with her over a decade of experience working in the mortgage industry. She finds deep love within her family, being married to her husband Carl, and mom to her two teenage children. If you would happen to have a question regarding your contributions, tax receipts, or need to know more about regular electronic giving, Anne will be happy to help.

  • Jessie Adrians

    Religious EducaTion COORDINATOR

    As a member of St. Raphael since 2002, Jessie is excited to minister to youth and families in her role as coordinator of religious education. She is a 2001 graduate of St. Norbert College where she got her degree in elementary education, and where she is currently pursuing her master’s in theology. Her ministry at St. Raphael gives her the opportunity to combine the three great passions of her life: teaching, working with youth and families, and her love of Jesus. Jessie's other life joys are spending time with her husband Josh, baking cookies for family and friends, her daily runs, and reading God's Word. If you have questions about religious education or second grade sacramental prep, Jessie is the person to see.

  • Tommy Nelson

    Youth Minister

    Tommy has been the High School and Middle School Youth Minister at St. Raphael’s since June 2015. Tommy was originally a quiet young man until he encountered Christ on a parish retreat his freshman year of high school. Since then he can’t stop sharing his love for Jesus and the Church! Tommy is excited to be able to offer retreats, youth gatherings and continuing to develop the High School Peer Ministry Team. Born and raised a Packer fan in Rockford, Illinois, Tommy has been serving in various ministry roles throughout the Diocese of Green Bay since 2009. He has been married to his wife Kayln since December 2011 and they have two adorable and adventurous boys named Isaiah born in 2013 and Andrew born in 2015. Tommy loves being a husband and a father because it gives him a special way to share the gospel by witnessing the peace and joy that comes from knowing Jesus. If he’s not at the Church or with his family, you can probably find Tommy in line for the next superhero movie.   • Jenifer Jensen

    Elementary Religious Education Coordinator

    Jenifer has been a member here since 2000. The welcoming and always active church atmosphere attracted her and her husband, Mark, to join just before the birth and baptism of their second daughter. They have three children: Ellie, Abby and Ian. Her family volunteers on a regular basis at school, in their neighborhood and various ministries within the St. Raphael community. One of Jenifer’s favorite here at church is CLOW. There the children hear the word of God proclaimed in a manner they understand producing a stronger relationship with Jesus and a chance to grow in their faith. Prior to holding this position she worked for over 10 years with Lourdes Academy elementary sites, Cabrini and Seton, here in Oshkosh. Besides young children being her passion, she enjoys family, traveling and the great outdoors with all the beautiful gifts God has created for us to soak in and share! We are all called to evangelize. Children are especially ready to hear, learn and share with us . Is it time for you to answer a call, perhaps to teaching our young children?   • Eric Rudd

    High School Religious Education Coordinator & Young Adult Minister

    Eric is a native to Oshkosh and a graduate of Oshkosh Lourdes High School. For him, sports were a high priority, and he most notably placed at the Wisconsin state championships in track and field multiple times. He attended UW-Oshkosh for his general education and then transferred to Conception Seminary College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Eric also spent a year serving on Spiritus based out of the Mount Tabor Center in Menasha. It was there that Eric discovered his calling to ministry. In his free time, you can find Eric cheering on his favorite Wisconsin sports teams, including the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Oshkosh’s own Wisconsin Herd. His hobbies include playing basketball and football, running, biking, going on road trips, listening to music, boating, and playing acoustic guitar. He is excited to join our high school ministry because he can truly relate to being in the student’s shoes at one point during his high school years in Oshkosh, and he plans to relay the faith to them in ways that they get. He is also excited to be a part of the young adult ministry because he’s eager to create a community of believers who can share their faith and just enjoy life.   • Howard Frank


    Howard has been a custodian since 2000, and he enjoys taking care of God's house. One of his favorite passages is II Corinthians 12:9. Howard sings tenor in a barbershop quartet and chorus. Also, in his free time, he plays a little bass and acoustic guitar. He and his wife Pam enjoy three grown children and two young grandsons.
